Magic symbols have been around since ancient times and are believed to increase the power and efficiency of magic spells. Generally rune scripts, animals, amulets, talismans and the like are used as magic symbols. Scripts such as the Malachim script, Theban alphabet, Writing of the Magi and the Celestial alphabet are also considered highly magical.

Crystal balls are important symbols of magic. They are used to clear energies of spaces. Each crystal stone has a different type of energy. They are believed to help in the spread of their particular kind of positive energy when placed in an appropriate position in the house. They stimulate love, prosperity, peace, confidence, etc., when placed in your home. Crystal balls are also used in divination and foretelling.

Animals have also been widely used as magic symbols. Animal figures are believed to give power to rituals. They can also symbolize desires. Animal figures are generally carved from gemstones or made from metal or plaster. The cat is said to symbolize independence and earth; butterflies and dolphins symbolize joy and happiness; panthers symbolize power and the horse, friendship. Figures of these animals are used in certain rituals in which spells are cast to obtain one or more of these qualities.

Amulets and talismans have long been the most popular and sought after magic symbols. Amulets are objects that possess magical properties which provide protection against illnesses, curses, bad luck and evil. Garlic, bells, pyramid pendants, shell fish pendants, happiness necklaces, sandstone, alligator hides, seahorse horns, spiders and rings are used in amulets.

Talismans are objects that are believed to contain supernatural powers and pass them on to their owners. They have rune carvings on them to increase their powers. Scrolls, paper squares, Egyptian scrolls, stone rubbing, prayer discs, lacquer boxes and pentagrams have been used as talismans through the years.

When practicing magic, there are also many different elements involved. A sacred space or hallowed place to perform the magic is sometimes important. The tools that are necessary such as wands, crystals, stones, or a mirror for scrying.

Some magical workings require herbs or other plant materials such resins. There is usually an incantation of sorts depending on the particular magical working. All of these are important elements used in various magics but none are more ancient or powerful than the symbols that are used.

There are an infinite number of magical symbols that can be utilized for an infinite number of workings. You may be scratching your head and wondering how that is possible, but I am not just referring to the dusty old symbols that already exist and have been utilized for centuries.

Some of the most powerful magical symbols are the ones that we create ourselves for our own personal magical use. True magic is a creative art form and should be practiced as such. When you create your own magical symbols and empower them with your will and spiritual energy, you are tapping the most powerful source of magic. It comes from within and flows from your Higher Self.

Your Higher Self is speaking to you all of the time. It not only speaks to you within your dreams but it can also guide you through your daily life. You must be willing to listen to its voice and hear the truth of its words. The Higher Self takes on many different forms and it is represented uniquely to everyone. We all have our own system of beliefs and it communicates to us through the patterns of these beliefs.

Communication with the Higher Self can be achieved through mediation but it needn’t take place within the mind alone. Sometimes your Higher Self can communicate through the synchronicity of events within our everyday life. It is through developing a healthy connection with your higher self that you can facilitate the creation of your own powerful magic symbols.

Sometimes these symbols of magical power may come to you while you are dreaming. This is another one of the many good reasons for keeping a detailed dream journal. If you keep an accurate journal of your dreams you can draw any of the symbols that you may see while dreaming within your journal along with a detailed description of the dream itself. Other elements of the dream may be used as a clue to the relevance of the symbol and the nature of the power it channels.

Another way of creating your own magical symbols is through automatic writing or in this case, automatic drawing. You will need a blank sheet of paper and a pen. I use a sketch pad. Sit comfortably in a dimly lit room with the pen in your hand and the paper beneath it. Clear your mind. It helps if you achieve a light trance by meditating a bit just before attempting this.

Allow you hand to move across the paper involuntarily. At first you may get nothing but scribbles and random lines, but don’t give up. You mustn’t allow yourself to consciously think about what you are doing. With practice you will begin to draw symbols which at first will look primitive and crude but over time they will increase in quality and sophistication.

Eventually, you begin to see the symbols in your mind’s eye before you draw them. In the beginning you probably won’t be able to make sense of the symbols but eventually, over time, the meaning of them will become clearer. It may take a very long time and several years of practice but eventually you may begin to utilize the symbols magically.

The easiest way to create personal magical symbols is by visualizing and drawing them in the same way that you would any other form of art. You can easily create and empower your own personal magical symbols. The power to create them lies within.

Positive thinking or positive attitude in life is very important to live a happy, successful, and joyful life. By definition, it is just letting your negative energy drain out but in real terms it’s letting your optimism dominate your life in all ways.

Your mind functions according to your own thoughts and beliefs. If you behold a negative approach in life then even though your try hard you’ll always end up with failure but positive approach can make everything go on a successful track. Even in the toughest of times, a positive attitude is like a candle in the dark that shows you the way.

Human life is full of confusion, chaos, excitements, worries, happiness, and despair. With so many things together changing at every stage of life tends to bring a mixture of negative and positive thoughts. The only way you can cancel the negativity around you is by fostering positive attitude and belief in life. Nothing can happen overnight and therefore it’s very important to stay encouraged, determined, and stern in perceiving and practicing positive thinking.

You should first learn to believe in yourself and value your own beliefs. It is very crucial to believe yourself because it works as a tool to achieving long term success. Apart from that when you set goals you are sure about your purpose in life and this helps you stay motivated to fulfill the same. Try this once and then when you’ll succeed, you’ll feel the immense satisfaction.

As every problem has a solution, so do every negative thought has a positive alternative. So, whenever you feel that some kind of negative energy is surrounding you, try and search for an alternative positive approach. This will ignite your inner flame and give you more strength and courage to move on with life.

To nurture positive attitude you also need to face your own fears. Any kind of fear is actually a big obstacle in your way. More you are afraid of anything more you feel negative. It is very important to know the cause of your fear, understand it, and analyze it, so that you can chuck it out completely from your heart and mind. Face your fear courageously and you’ll definitely feel good about it.

Meditation also helps you to nurture positive approach in life. By meditating you allow your mind to calm down and keep it in a relaxed form. Under such a situation, your mind is capable of fostering stronger and better thoughts. This will give you inner peace and sense of bliss that will eventually help you to think positively.

The magical power of positive thinking helps you reform your life for something better; for something brighter.

I have read and heard so many times that that there is so much power in the spoken word and our feelings.

Magic is an ancient tool that is powered by the desire and drive to connect with the universe through nature and influence the surrounding environment. It is also a tool that is used to achieve one’s goals and dreams. There are many different forms of magic and magical practices, but they are all connected by similar basic principals.

Most basic magical theory agrees that everything is connected through the energies that bind the universe as one solitary entity. We are all a part of this unified whole. On a certain level, every single particle of matter and energy throughout the cosmos has some effect upon the rest within the continuum of space-time.

Simply put, everything and everyone in the universe is connected and a part of everything else. There is no separation. Separateness is just an illusion or misconception. It is through the realization of this or the path to the complete realization of this truth that true magic power is attained.

This power is something that is always there. It permeates everything and is the source of all things. When we channel or claim this power, we are simply recognizing or realizing what is already there. The true realization of this power is not simply knowing about it. It involves accepting and understanding the truth of it on a much deeper level of the psyche.

There are many paths to achieving this level of realization or enlightenment. The most effective means of achieving enlightenment is through meditation as well as mental and emotional discipline. Creative visualization in the form of rituals, spells, litanies, and other artistic forms of self expression can also be used as tools for this realization. They work because they speak to deeper levels of the psyche in uniquely personal ways.

Our thoughts and emotions are patterns of energy and how we form those patterns determines how we utilize this source of power within our lives. Thoughts and emotion lead to action or inaction, both of which determine the flow of the source energy and how it interacts with us as well as those around us. This power can be used in positive ways to enrich our lives and the lives of others.

It can also be wielded in a negative fashion that can ultimately only lead to the amplification of our suffering. This energy can also be channeled in a neutral manner that can create the illusion of the power being non-existent or inaccessible. Many people fall into this last category of energy manifestation. They believe and feel that they are powerless, effectively cutting themselves off from their power to do, have, and be that which they truly desire.

The source of all things itself is pure. It is the essence and energy that binds all things in the universe as one. This unity and the realization thereof is beyond the boundaries of what we call time and space. It transcends all limitation. If one were to fully realize their potential and utilize this connection to the one pure source, then there would be absolutely no limit to what they could achieve or know.

What holds most of us back from realizing our full potential is belief or the lack thereof. No matter how bad we want to believe and accept that our thoughts and feelings can shape our reality, we are still continually held back by our old beliefs. The things that we were taught as children to believe about ourselves and how we relate to everything else create a barrier. This is why meditation as well as mental and emotional discipline are necessary.

They help us to unlearn limiting negative concepts such as scarcity, fear, and powerlessness. Through diligently practicing meditation, one can learn to see the truth in all things. You will begin to see how the whole of the universe is reflected in all things. It is through this realization that you will come to find and know the infinite source of magical power that you are.

When you hear the term Voodoo doll you probably think of a toy or novelty item. Are there real Voodoo dolls within magic Spell Casting’s realms?

Lets explore this subject…

Magic Spell Casting and Voodoo Dolls have a strong connection within the world of Magic. Both are linked in the fact they contain Magic or magick. Magic Spell Casting is an art that uses nature, special items and specific ceremonies to send out energies to bring forth a set result. Voodoo also uses similar things to create a “doll” of a person that Spell Energies are targeted for. The Voodoo doll, in theory, contains the Magic Energies used within the ritual or Spell Casting.

Most of the time, Voo doo Dolls are used in Revenge Spells and Revenge Spell Castings. Revenge Spells or Justice Spell Castings are very difficult for novice Spells Spell casters and are far more dangerous to cast. The use of Voo doo dolls increases this risk. It is advised that you get special training and instructions when experimenting with such endeavors.

Magic Spell Casting requires practice and time. To be effective at casting magic spells you need to have the actual Spell with instructions and follow them to the letter. If the Spell is a beginner spell that is easy to cast, it will most likely be safe but still use caution and common sense when trying to cast magic spells or if you try and make a real Voo doo doll.

Voodoo dates back thousands of years and originate in Africa. Around 2000 years ago, the Voo doo doll was used to bring forth prosperity and good fortune. Farmers hired medicine women and men and their Magic Spell Casting abilities to bring forth a healthy crop. They used a Voodoo doll of the farmer to do this. This was the beginning and the start of something VERY powerful that would grow like a wildfire.

As with any advent, man kind found a way to use Magic Spell Casting and Voo doo dolls for evil and greed. It was quickly found out the Voo doo doll could be used to attract negative energies and very bad luck onto a person with a very simple ritual. This art spread very fast and was quickly outlawed. People found in possession of a Voodoo doll or anything remotely looking like a voodoo doll were put to death in Africa during this time period.

Current Spell Casters still believe that Voo doo dolls from this time period and location still contain a amazing amount of Magic power that does not fade with time. This opinion varies from Spell Caster to Spell Caster. These days, real Voo doo dolls that contain true magic Spell energies are very hard to find. Most VooDoo Dolls you see online are mainly novelty items and are for fun. Rest assured, the art of REAL Magic Spell Casting and Voodoo dolls is quite real and alive today.

Unfortunately, “white light” is overused by many Wiccan and New Age people who don’t know what they are doing.

These people use white light to the exclusion of all other colors, and as a result are not competent in working with colors.

Because white contains *all* of the colors of the spectrum, they are taking in all of these colors and those they are unable to control or work with, are left on their own without direction.

Each color represents a particular frequency of energy that most of us use in our daily lives. If one is not competent in the ability to handle each color, the white light often is unable to be used properly.

White light is easy enough to use and is great for beginners, but the problem is that it is overused. White light is great for cleaning one’s aura and balancing energies. It is also great for protection.

White light, when placed around a person, becomes a barrier to interaction with others. *This is because white light reflects*

If you want to be left alone, then envelope yourself in white light. Filling yourself with white light on the inside strengthens and protects without becoming a barrier to others if you want social interaction.

Overuse of white light can create an arrogant attitude, especially where spirituality is concerned, along with closed mindedness, and rigidity in attitudes.

This is often seen in those who practice angel magick. The overall result is that of being at a lower level of spiritual development.

When an individual is competent and has mastered all of the colors, he/she is able to use the white light to its fullest extent.

The Color Meditation:

Begin by getting comfortable and doing breathing exercises or whatever you do to focus your mind and calm yourself before entering into your trance state.

Breathe in and fill yourself with each breath with a specific color of the spectrum, visualizing it as brighter and brighter each time (not lighter; by brighter, I mean more intense)

Red, blue, yellow, orange, violet, green, indigo (bluish-violet, the color of the 6th chakra) or black. This meditation can also be done after meditating on a specific chakra.

You can then fill yourself with the color of that chakra.

If you are new to color meditation, hold the color for two to four minutes. If the color feels pleasant, you can hold for a longer period of time.

Those who are used to the energy of the colors can hold much longer. One’s increased time should be comfortable and gradual.

Each color should be in its pure form and bright. Later on, it is fine to experiment with different shades when adept.

If a color feel negative to you, work with it gradually. Ask your mind for an answer as to why. What does the color mean to you?

What associations do you have with a particular color? This is a great way to find out more about yourself. Which colors feel pleasant to you?

These are the ones that you may be using the most in your life to the exclusion of others. Knowing this provides information as to which chakras need more work to bring them up to full power.

The most important objective of this meditation is to *feel* the colors. Spend some time with each color, getting into how it feels. Keep a written record in your book of shadows/black book.

Also, you can meditate on the color outside of yourself to feel its energy. It is not necessary to always absorb the color, especially if you feel uncomfortable with certain colors. Remember, if something feels uncomfortable or negative, then stop. When you are finished with this meditation, clean your aura with white light as this will act to balance the all of the colors in your aura.

The benefits of this meditation are the ability to feel, direct and apply color. Color energy is exceptionally powerful when used in magick. Each color has specific energies and acts to bring results unique to that energy.

Protection is largely a state of mind if you feel and trust in your method of your protection, you will be protected.

Psychic attacks can also be made by people, sometimes unintentionally, and by discarnate entities

Unfortunately just as you may attract the attention of guides and angels as you follow your spiritual pathway, so you may attract the attention of other less desirable beings.

Many who rush into healing without proper guidance and care, particularly those who aim to ‘become a Reiki Master in a weekend’ are especially at risk.

Fortunately there are a number of ways to prevent you being ‘easy prey’.

Spiritual healers are those who work with compassionate spirits of the non-physical world.

This is one of the world’s oldest traditions for healing and personal empowerment and is still practiced by two-thirds of the world’s cultures.

Spirit mediums journey to their spirit helpers using a drum or rattle to induce a light trance.

While the guides of spiritual healers might include angels,demons, gods, goddess or masters, they often call on the help of certain animals such as bear or wolf.

They have an animistic world view, for them, nature is alive, with spirits inhabiting all life-forms down to trees, water and stones

Healing is seen as a co-operative effort between client, and spirit guides. There are other forms of spirit releasing. The practitioner channels the divine energy through their hands into the client’s energy body. This stimulates the body to heal itself.

During a healing session, the energy passes into the client’s body through the healer’s hands, gently but powerfully effecting healing on all levels physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

Because energy knows no boundaries, it can be sent through time and space to heal past and future issues

It can also be used to heal, cleanse and energize all living things, from plants, food, water, crystals and animals to countries and the planet.

It transforms situations or places by dissolving negative blocks or purifying unhealthy atmospheres.

This could be similar to exorcism. Exorcism also involves the release of energy within a person’s body.

But differ from spiritual healing, exorcism tend to let the spirits’ energy to pass thru other people.

Spirit release tends to be thought of as a one-to-one experience can also be used to clear land and homes of uncomfortable energies

It’s difficult to meditate on energy that I can’t feel it.
How could I sense energy?

I don’t know how to answer this, accept for the fact that if you ”
don’t have it” then you just don’t have it.

I don’t want to discourage you, or anyone else for that matter!!!

Some persons for some reason are just “closed” off to certain
sensitivities and energies.

I don’t know why you fail to feel it, or sense it, or hear it.

All I can say is keep practicing.

And while I HATE the word, “faith”….
I must use it to try to explain. Faith is a belief in things unseen.

You’re going to have to have it if you wish to open yourself up to these
energies, these powers.

Angels are celestial spirits of light who are powerful, benevolent, and terrifying. The word “angel” comes from the Latin “Angelus” and the Greek “Aggelos” which simply means “Messenger”.

The Judeo-Christian concept of angels (and likewise, those of Islam) was heavily influenced by the Yazatas and Amesha Spentas of Zoroastrianism.

But what are angels?

This is perhaps one of the most pondered questions in theology of the past two thousand years, second only to the question of how many can dance on the head of a pin. The answer, however, is at the same time both simple and complex.

Angels are gods. To understand this, one must understand the transcendental nature of reality (see my essay on “Higher Worlds and the Soul”) as well as the concept of Divine Principles (see my essay on “Theosia: Nature of the Gods”).

In essence, angels can be viewed as equating to the gods of polytheistic pantheons, not only in that they are “emanations” of a higher Absolute Divine, but also in their basic form, capabilities, and attributation to specific principles or aspects of the human condition.

Just as there are gods of love, war, the moon, the sea, the elements, and so forth, so too are these things equated to the angels and archangels.

This should not come as a surprise, for even the Bible supports this view. In Psalm 82:1 it is said: “God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods,” and again in verse 6 of the same chapter: “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”

It has been noted by theologians that by “gods” it is meant “angels”, as in the Hebrew word Elohim.

Arguably, there are angels of both greater and lesser power, and this is no better illustrated than in the complex hierarchy applied to angels in the Christian Church. Lower angels may merely be messenger spirits, while archangels serve as guardians.

Higher orders (Principalities, Powers, etc.) are more similar to gods in the classical sense (seePrinciples, Divine).

In this sense, Angels are simply the lowest order of the Divine Principles.

They can assist one in astral projections, accessing past lives and looking into the future. They have knowledge and rulership over the fixed stars.
